The Ross Barnett Reservoir is located just south of Jackson, MS, and near the Robert E. Lee Hotel. It’s a popular spot for camping and fishing and offers boat ramps, docks, and it even has a swimming beach within the Olde Hickory Lake subdivision (the only one on this list).

Sardis Lake

Sardis Lake is located within Lafayette, Panola, and Marshall counties in Mississippi. It is a large 98,250-acre reservoir that offers numerous boating and fishing opportunities. The lake is closer to many communities in Mississippi as well an hour drive from Memphis, Tennessee.

Arkabulta Lake

Arkabulta Lake is located in both Tate and DeSoto counties. Artkabulta Lake is known to be more a quiet lake with good seclusion. There are several things to do around the lake, including hiking, fishing, swimming and camping.

Pickwick Lake

Pickwick Lake is in south-central Tennessee and Alcorn County, Mississippi – right on the Alabama border. It’s a beautiful lake that is popular for boating and fishing.
